The noun *emgek 'crawling' is preserved in Tur. dial. imek, Chag. emgek 'crawling child' (and, despite Clauson ibid. it certainly has nothing to do with *emgek 'worry, pains', see *emge-). Cf. also forms like Turkm. eŋkej- 'bow' and Yak., Dolg. üŋk- 'to bow' (contractions?); see Stachowski 251.
